Two-tone green cabinetry that feels both warm and contemporary.
This bespoke shaker kitchen in East Sheen combines timeless style with practical family living. The soft two-tone green cabinetry is paired with a striking quartz worktop, creating a sophisticated backdrop that feels both warm and contemporary. A Belfast sink sits beneath a reeded glass wall unit, while the Quooker tap in antique brass adds a subtle touch of luxury. These details are echoed throughout the kitchen, giving it a sense of cohesion and thoughtful design.
At the heart of the space, a large island provides seating for five, making it the perfect hub for family life. Its return cleverly incorporates a spacious larder, which the homeowner describes as indispensable for managing her busy household, alongside a discreet broom and storage cupboard. Beyond the main kitchen, a matching utility room houses a double-stacked washing machine and sink, combining style with everyday practicality.
A later addition, the bar, was a personal request from the family and has become a striking feature in its own right. Designed as a space for entertaining and displaying beautiful bottles and glassware, it features hand-coated metal doors and the same antique brass accents found in the kitchen, tying the two areas together seamlessly.
From concept to completion, this project was a joy to create. Every detail, from the generous island to the bespoke bar, reflects a careful balance of beauty, function and family-friendly design — a kitchen the whole family truly loves.
